DocExplore was an INTERREG IVA project that ran from 2009 to 2014. It led to the creation of a free, open-source, cross-platform software suite enabling anyone to create rich interactive digital books from digitized documents. It was built with a special view to help improve the accessibility of ancient documents such as medieval codices, but it is in fact well adapted to augment any kind of digitized document:
